In this tutorial, we will discover how to switch from Universal Analytics (UA) to Google Analytics 4 (GA4). If you are the old blogger or you own a website that is linked to the Universal Analytics property, then it is mandatory to switch to the new Google Analytics 4 because on July 1st, 2023 it will stop processing data.

Start Setup Assistant
In Google Analytics click Admin as shown in the above image. In the Account Column, select your required account, and similarly, in the Property Column select the Universal Analytics property for which you already collect data and click the first option GA4 Setup Assistant.
On the next page find a blue button saying Get Started under the I want to create a new Google Analytics 4 property tab. Hit the Get Started button and you will be redirected to the next page.
When you click the Get Started button, on the next page you will see You have successfully connected your properties. Now you can further explore and set up your GA4 property. Hit the blue color Go to your GA4 Property button.
On the next page, you can click the Open connected property button for further settings. Although your setup of Google Analytics 4 has been carried out but still connected Universal Analytics property remains unchanged.
Go to the left-side menu and click the Home tab.
Copy the Measurement ID and click the Get tagging instructions button.
In the Web stream details if you have not yet pasted the code in your blogger theme. Again click the View tag instructions button.
Read all installations instruction on the next page. Click the Install manually button and copy the gtag.js code to paste into the <head> section of the blogger theme for collecting data.
Now when the code has been copied, go to your blogger dashboard and click the Theme tab.
Click the Edit HTML tab on the next page to edit your theme.
Paste the HTML tag anywhere in the <head> section and click the SAVE button to update your Google Analytics 4 tracking ID for collecting your website data.
You have switched from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4 successfully.
