Permalink stands for Permanent Link of a post. It is very necessary for SEO of a post or article. Permalink is your own choice, you can select it for your post or article.

Now its time to discuss how to use permalink effectively? If you want to write a post in blogger platform, if your selection of permalink is Automatic Permalink. Then blogger will select automatically permalink for your post. For example the title of this post is "What Is Permalink? How To Use Permalink In Blogger Effectively?", then your Automatic Permalink will be shown as "https://workwithmir.blogspot.com/2019/10/what-is-permalink-how-to-use-permalink.html". Now you can see that the permalink is same as your title is. Look deeply this permalink have also the date on which this post has been published. This is the thing you want to change for effective SEO of your post, because Search Engines do not rank these dates. 

Now the question is how to use permalink effectively for your post. Permalink is used for one post of a blog. Now first of all go to any search engine and search for keywords you are going to write an article about. Now check the CPC and position of your keyword. Select your keyword wisely. You may research keywords free from KEYWORDS EVERYWHERE. This is a free extension for google chrome to research keywords. Just install this in your browser and you will be able to see the search, position and CPC for a keyword. Now when you have searched keyword, write your SEO friendly title for your post. Now when writing your post body keep this thing in mind to target your keyword. Use your keyword effectively in your post description. 

Now when you have completed your post. The permalink will be same as like your title, but there will be post publish date too in the permalink. So this is now the time to use permalink in blogger effectively. You are to select Custom Permalink instead of Automatic Permalink. 

How to use permalink option in blogger?

  • Sign in to your blogger dashboard.
  • Go to new post tab.
  • Write your SEO friendly title for your post.
  • Go to Permalink option in the right side.
  • There are two options Automatic Permalink and Custom Permalink.
  • Automatic Permalink is just like your title and published date of post.
  • Custom Prmalink is link you want to select by choice.
  • Click Done and the Custom Permalink is set for your post.
Keep this thing in your mind that google or any other search engine does not indexed data like to, for, on, of etc. These words don't matter, you have to select strong keywords for your custom permalink. Don't use to, of, for or many words like this. For example your title is "How can I lose my extra weight?" now the Automatic Permalink for this title will be as https://earnbigmoneywithmir.blogspot.com/2019/10/how-can-i-lose-my-extra-weight.html . You can see that in this permalink publish date of post and title is available. Now I want to search keywords for Weight Lost. I shall choose high search CPC and position keywords for my Custom Permalink. Write these keywords and use Dash Sign (-) after each and every word. The custom permalink will be shown as /2019/10/lose-weight-naturally.html. Now the link has changed but there is still Date and .html consist. Now remove these things from your custom permalink. There is a trick for removing date and .html. 

How to remove date and .html from your permalink?
  • Go to your blogger dashboard.
  • Select Theme.
  • Edit HTML.
  • Ctrl+F.
  • Write <head> and enter.
  • Immediately paste this code after <head>.
